Council Member Specific Accountabilities

  • Effective implementation of the Vision, Values, and Missions of MCC. 

  • Governance of MCC. 

  • Strategic planning and visioning. 

  • In consultation with the Bishop, hire, evaluate, and, if needed, terminate the Pastor. 

  • Support and counsel the Pastor. 

  • Spiritual development and conflict resolution within MCC. 

  • Leadership Council development: 

    • Nominate Council members,

    • Approve other selected lay leader positions,

    • Appoint the Treasurer, and

    • Ensure leadership development throughout the congregation. 

  • Establish MCC policies and procedures.

  • Meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1050 South York Street
