Men’s Retreat

Our annual men’s retreat is coming March 20 & 21! These weekends are always filled with great connection, teaching, prayer, worship, and games that help us to grow spiritually and relationally alongside fellow men in our church family. Each year there are stories of how the retreat has influenced and refined journeys with God, friendships, family, work, and everyday life, and we hope that you’ll consider being a part of it!

We are pumped to have Eldon Fry lead our sessions. Eldon founded Open Hands Ministry, an organization that provides spiritual direction and support to grow closer to God. Eldon is also the former College Pastor at Messiah College.

This year we are gathering together at Roxbury Holiness Camp (Orrstown, PA). We will arrive at 7:00 PM on Friday, March 20th and will conclude at 5:30 PM on Saturday, March 21st. The cost for the retreat which includes lodging, breakfast, and lunch is only $60!

MCC Kids Showcase

This April, we are going to host our first ever MCC Kids Showcase! On Friday, April 24 from 6-8pm, we will create space for our kids to share their talents with us! Whether it is writing, art, music, theater, dance, spelling, or anything else, we would love to cheer your child on!

We are excited to celebrate the kids of MCC. Please complete this form to help us prepare the stage for your child!

Family Promise

Several times a year we partner with McBIC to host families involved with Family Promise, an organization that helps people currently experiencing homelessness. Our next week to host is coming up from January 12-18!  If you are interested in volunteering, please mark your calendar and sign up here.

Thank you so much for considering this opportunity to serve.  As always we are in need of volunteers to pray for our host week and our families, provide dinner, drive the van, stay overnight, assist with set-up, tear down and provide food items for the week.  What a prime opportunity to continue the giving spirit of Christmas in the new year! You can serve by yourself, with friends, your family or your small group.

Baptism

Are you (or your son/daughter) a follower of Jesus Christ, but have yet to take the step of baptism? Our next baptism service will be on Sunday, January 5, 2020. What better way to begin the new year than by testifying of the transforming work of God in your life! If you have questions about this or would like to learn more, please do not hesitate to reach out! Our pastor would love to sit down with you and hear your questions and share more about what baptism is.

Project Legacy

We are excited to once again partner with Operation Wildcat’s Project Legacy. For the last several years we have had the opportunity to buy gifts and fulfill needs and wishes for one or two families during the Christmas season. You can use this sign up sheet to find out what the needs (N) and wants (W) are for this year’s family. Once purchased, you can wrap them and bring them in to church and place them on the table in the lobby. To identify what’s inside, please place a small tag or post-it note with the name of the recipient and the item inside. It is helpful if you include a gift receipt as well, if possible! We will collect these items through December 13. Thank you for contributions!

Guys’ Bonfire

ATTENTION MEN: Join us on Friday, November 15th starting at 6:30 PM for a guys’ bonfire night. Each year, these are always great experiences of fun and connection. We will fellowship together, gather around fire, and eat meat and sugar off of sticks. Bring your appetite, feel free to bring a lawn chair, and be sure to invite your friends and neighbors, too. It’s going to be awesome!

Membership at MCC

On Saturday morning, October 19 from 9am – noon, we will have our next MCC membership class. At this class, I will share more about our church (our beginnings, leadership structure, vision/values, etc.), our denomination (who we are, what we believe, denominational structure, etc.), and about my own calling and passions. This will be the last membership class of the year, so if you would like to become a member and vote in our year-end council meeting, please set this date aside to attend the class.
